Muscat: Police headquarters of Al Dahirah Governorate has issued a number of fine notices against people for not complying with Supreme Committee decisions.

The Royal Oman Police said in a statement: “The violations include a fine against people for gathering in public places, not wearing masks in a public place, performing prayers in the mosques.”

In addition shops found not complying with Supreme Committee decisions by opening shops have been fined.

According to the new law issued by public prosecution, a fine of OMR 3,000 is applicable for a failure to close down commercial activities decided by the supreme committee, and a OMR 100 fine per person will be charged for participating in a gathering of more than five people.
