Muscat: More than 40 tons of apples, found unfit for consumption, were destroyed, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries announced

The ministry said in a statement: “Destruction of cargo whose quantity is estimated to be about 41 tons of apple fruit in Buraimi outlet. The agricultural quarantine team at the ministry noticed during examination that it was rotten due to poor storage.”

“The specialists at Al Buraimi Port Customs and be’ah company, together with the Ministry’s team, carried out the destruction operations according to the established regulations,” the ministry added.
