Muscat: Over 80 people have been arrested during last May on different charges of theft, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.

A statement issued online by ROP said, “Last May, the Royal Oman Police arrested 82 defendants who committed 74 theft crimes in various governorates of the Sultanate.”

“ROP praised the cooperation of citizens and residents in uncovering the crimes and stressed at the same time the need to take the necessary precautions to secure their properties,” the statement added.
