:Mr. Musa Maaytah, The Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs opened the conference and said in a speech during the opening session
The most violation of human rights in our Arab world is the right to life As there are a lot of attacks on the mass media and media in an attempt to radical intellectuals to block the light of the truth in their actions and also he said that Jordan is making great experience towards media freedoms with the political ability of His Majesty King Abdullah II to ensure and safeguard freedoms, stressing that freedom is the roof of the sky.Also Al-Maaytah invites to the possibility of the positive energy between Jordanian and Arab women journalists and enable women to transform the challenges into opportunities for their investment in enhancing their position in the media.
Al-Maaytah appreciated the responsible of the Arab Media Center since its inception by training modern media graduates and media in the Arab world on media in various forms, raising their media skills and creating a young generation trained in modern media On the other hand Mrs. Mahasen Al Emam The director of Arab Women Media Center, presented her support for the woman journalist and her responsibility in her tasks and work in Jordan and the Arab world also she add that this conference have massage to raise violations and gender discrimination and freedom of opinion and expression, and to highlight the work of media and media in exceptional circumstances and locations of conflicts in Arab world, She also thanked the Canadian Alternatives Foundation and the partners in Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine and Sudan for their cooperation in the success of this conference, which was attended by eighty media and media from various Arab countries, and praised the Arab media on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Center, , In Iraq, Sudan, Palestine, and finally Lebanon Also The Director of Alternatives Canada, Mr. Michel Lambert spoke about the suffering suffered by most media professionals in different countries in the world, which suffer from suspicious situations, calling for such conferences looking at the protection of women and said that the media proved not only coverage of certain issues related to women, but many topics Other public interest of the community, which emphasizes the need for their support from all sides, in the another side,The Head of Political Affairs at the Canadian Embassy, Mr.Christopher Hall, said that all media people who play an important role and defend human rights are not doing their work without personal sacrifice, and that is why we are grateful to them and hope that they will find a safe environment for a better life for all journalists and media professionals. The Director of the Iraqi Media Forum, representative of the Center for Arab Women Media Center in Iraq, Dr. Nabras Maamouri, said that most women in the region agreed to identify the problems faced by Arab women in general and the media in particular in terms of legislation, policies and discrimination based on sex, and the need to hold conferences, Regionally and internationally.
