Muscat: More than 2,300 Indians expatriates returned to their home country in 13 flights operated by Air India Express under Vande Bharat Mission from Sultanate of Oman.
“In the first phase 360 passengers were brought home in two flights. In the second phase, 1970 people returned to India in 11 flights,” a senior official at the Indian Embassy in Muscat said.
The official also said that more flights have been planned from Oman. “We will share their details soon,” he said.
The Phase two of repatriating stranded Indians from Oman concluded on Saturday in which more than 500 passengers left for three Indian destinations — Kochi, Trivandrum and Gaya from Muscat International Airport as part of the Vande Bharat Mission.
