 Arab women journalists in responding regional and international politics’ changes

The fourth conference of Arab women journalists was held in Jordan under the title “Arab Media in the Face of Political Changes” in the presence of 75 media representatives from 15 Arab countries and regional and international institutions.
For three days, the participants discussed the following topics:
1. Arab media and its role in the process of reform and political change
2. The Impact of political and economic variables on media institutions
3. Woman Media who we want
4. Corruption in Arab Media Institutions
5. Modern media and communication technology
6. New political and professional challenges to Arab media
7. In view of the comprehensive crisis experienced by the homeland and the Arab media, which led to the expansion of the area of ​​media and the 8. lack of freedom in it, in addition to the recruitment of external and internal forces of the Arab media, which led to a nearly complete absence of the active role of the media in general and media in particular,

The following recommendations:
1. Accession to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the NGO Forum of the League of Arab States and the World Federation of Journalists.
2. Working on holding the conference periodically in Arab countries.
3. Enhancing the capabilities of Arab women professionals and their skills through vocational training and exchange of experiences and information.
4. Utilizing leading media experiences in training and developing young media cadres.
5. present a plan to establish branches of the Arab Women Media Center in the Arab States. This plan should include intensive contacts with civil society organizations, governmental institutions, professional organizations and donors.
6. Developing the website of the Arab Media Center by publishing the creative output of Arab women journalists.
